Will My iPhone 4 Case Fit The Verizon iPhone?

Verizon iPhone 4Well, according to Macworld that all depends upon the case you currently have fitted to your iPhone 4. This is because there have been some minor tweaks made to the Verizon iPhone; namely the slight repositioning of the mute and volume buttons further down the phone.

Whilst these changes are relatively minor they most likely mean that cases designed for the iPhone 4 that have precise locations for the mute and volume buttons will not fit the Verizon iPhone. iPhone 4 cases where the left hand side of the case has been left open may fit the Verizon iPhone.

Case-Mate are Redesigning Their Popular Cases

Case-Mate, who are one of the most popular designers and manufacturers of iPhone cases and accessories, have stated on their website that they are currently manufacturing redesigned cases and covers for the Verizon iPhone. They intend to have these cases available on 11 Feb 2011 when the Verizon iPhone is launched. No doubt other manufacturers will be doing the same.

Actually a lot of the cases will fit because only the vibrate button moved closer to the volume buttons on the verizon iPhone. It’s all explained with pictures here > http://www.verizoniphone4cases.net/how-to-tell-wh…

Thanks for this post. I actually agree with what you are saying. I have been talking about this subject a lot lately with my father so normally this will get him to see my point of view. Fingers crossed!
